The owner was wonderful as long as you follow the rules you will have no issues whatsoever and he will do whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable. All he wants is customers that do not cause problems and as long as you are that then this is the place to go because it's the cheapest place they take cash no deposits and they are very very kind here The only downside is that unless you get lucky you don't get a refrigerator or a microwave because only some of the rooms have them. but the longer you stay the more likely you are to get those things because he's already offered me a refrigerator as soon as the other guy leaves that has one in his room and he's supposed to be leaving in the next day or so so that means I will have a refrigerator then and that is wonderful because I don't have one that's out of yet and I've already had food stolen out of my cooler outside because it's cooler outside to keep the cooler in and all I put out there was Chinese food from the night before and the next morning went outside and it was gone but if someone is that hungry that they have to steal someone else's food they can have it and the owner even offered after he found out to take the amount of money that the food was worth off my bill which I thought was really nice of him even though I told him that it was fine if he was very hungry like that I would love to just leave it be I don't want to cause any problems and he said no no no that's my responsibility and I guess it's some charity case guy that he's trying to get out of here but no one can take him so I'm sure he'll be out of here soon but he's a little bit freaky lol but he hasn't really bothered me besides that except for bumming cigarettes which I just flat out said no to that but he did steal our food which was a little bit ridiculous but I would have given it to him if he had asked if he's that hungry that he feels he has to steal my food I would have given it to him in a heartbeat I mean it's not like I don't have money to go buy my own food and I don't have a microwave to heat it up in anyway so he's eating it cold so I feel bad enough for him as it is but the owner offered to reimburse me which I thought was really nice of him I told him he didn't have to but he did anyway and I think that is really nice of him and said that we are very good customers and he's not going to let that slide and I thought that was really nice of him so if you need a good place to go that doesn't cost very much and has a owner that is on everybody to stay in line then here's a place Grove terrace motel can't beat the price can't beat the people You have any problems talk to Vince the owner he'll take care of it thank you Good luck
Cute and clean little place. Owner is friendly and full of info on what to do around town. Rooms are comfortable and cozy, and you can't beat the price. Planning on staying there again when visiting Wheeling!

I stayed for 5 days, I really liked the owner who gave me 5 dollars for a bus when I left, I didn't even ask him for money. Rooms were clean and quiet. 60 bucks a night was worth it, I definitely recommend this motel.
Very sweet person running the front. Gave me and my partner a great rate after we lost power/heat due to the winter storm. Check in was easy and it was quiet all night.
Very small quite roadside motel that doesn't cost a fortune to rest one's head for a few nights and has a place within walking distance to patsey pizza for the best tasting pizza in town
At first kinda hard to find the driveway but after that the manger / owner was great told me where to find food and everthing that i needed ,very helpful and respectful.the motel is a liltte dated but a very safe and great place to stay.
